Been changing, modifying light setup of Food photography recently. So thought about posting a food photograph after a long time. Arranging all of these was fun, but kept in mind to have to achieve a random look as well.

A few days back I had an amazing time photographing this cute little angel. We photographed for more than 2 hours in a row. She is a amazing energetic and super expressive kid. This is one of my favorite photographs from the day.

People I have met during our stay in Diveagar.

Diveagar is known for it’s long stretch of beach and sand. It’s clean, it’s empty (other than weekends and holidays), there is no nuisance going around. It’s pristine.

We stayed with a family instead of a commercial hotel, which turned out to be excellent. The best part of this was that the beach was only 5-10 minutes walk from their place. And the part of the beach we go to is the most silent, and literally empty. So it’s a perfect place for solace. We spent hours and hours together walking on the sand listening to sounds of the sea.

Diveagar has some wonderful temples and statues of God’s as it has some of the most beautiful beaches. This is Uttareshwar mandir of Lord Shiva. There is a Hanuman and a Kaalbhairav and Maa kali temples in the same premises. It’s architecture is presently undergoing renovation.

After a VERY long time we took a break. What a brilliant time it was. Kokan strip is on the west side of Maharashtra, known for it’s ever-extensive beaches. Most of them are clean, pristine beaches hardly touched and spoiled by commercial fools. Dive-Agar is such one place. It’s quite close to Mumbai and Pune. So it could be considered as a start of the Kokan strip.

I really like this photograph, because of the window colors (hard to find in a city), the men talking over something. I did wait for a little while for the other man to leave, but I guess that wasn’t going to happen.

I always wanted to take a picture like this. Always. Old school, typically.

Had been to an early morning outing with another good photog friend who also is a snake wrangler / handler.
We got some beautiful landscapes, early morning sunrise and a panorama. But the best part turned about to be later in the day. While my friend was photographing a bird he noticed a cat jumping onto something and suddenly there was attack. He knew it was a snake, only when we went close we knew it was a bamboo pit viper. He carefully lifted it placed it on the ground. I cannot explain the amazing feeling watching the snake rest. He had a full tummy and was lazing around. I am sure the cat would have beaten him and eaten them later. Glad my friend was around and he moved the snake on to some bushes later on. I have hd video of the same which I will post later on. Hope you like the photograph.

Oh my tripod is the luckiest as my friend used it as a stick to move the snake around
